CJP finds a winning combination
Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) is a religious community group based in greater Boston, US. Despite having moved 95% of its network infrastructure to the cloud, the non-profit wanted a dedicated, on-site hardware appliance for DHCP to avoid its internet connection becoming a single point of failure for this critical network infrastructure.
With approx. 5,000 daily network users, CJP needed a reliable solution that makes it easy to keep guest and staff Wi-Fi networks separate.
Because its user interface is designed to be as straightforward as possible, DNSBOX offers CJP a simple but powerful solution that makes day-to-day DHCP administration a breeze. CJP deployed two DNSBOX210 devices, providing the recursive DNS capabilities they need for latency-free domain name resolution, and by deploying two devices CJP also benefits from robust failover, making the network more reliable and ensuring service uptime.
Now, all subnets for the separate guest Wi-Fi and staff networks can be served from a single interface, simplifying and improving the non-profit's computer network. Security has been enhanced with DNSBOX's separate isolated resolvers and full DNSSEC support, plus it can store lease history for up to three years.
"DNSBOX does exactly what we needed for our specific requirements."
