DNSBOX for Legal Associations: Standalone, Low-Maintenance DHCP for ACC's Washington, DC Office
The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) is a global legal association supporting in-house corporate lawyers across more than 10,000 organizations in 85 countries. As part of its plan to move towards a cloud-first infrastructure and remove Windows Servers, ACC needed to retain on-site DHCP with a solution that required minimal management and maintenance.
Initially, ACC considered using Palo Alto firewalls for DHCP, but its IT team investigated the complexity of configuration and ongoing management. Wanting a dedicated, low-maintenance appliance—not a free or open-source solution requiring manual updates—they determined that an appliance-based approach would be the best fit.
For its small Washington, DC office ACC selected ApplianSys' DNSBOX as a simple, reliable DHCP solution that eliminates the need for Windows Servers while keeping network management efficient and hassle-free.
The appliance has all the features that ACC needs, including multiple VLANs to ensure consistent IP address allocation across network segments and multihoming capability to assign multiple IP addresses on a single network interface.
